The experience behind the images
Experience shared by Jess; the wedding-film milestone was reported in 2025. Photography and filmmaking assignments can overlap and are not added into one total.
Long before a wedding timeline, there were fashion shows, shop windows, floor plans, and the experience of being on camera. Those chapters still shape the way Jess notices a room, gives direction, and finds the detail that makes a photograph feel personal.
Jessica Combs · formerly Jessica Marie Roberts
Local mall fashion shows, small advertising jobs for JCPenney and OshKosh, and television extra work introduced Jess to the experience of being photographed. That early perspective is part of why comfort and clear direction matter in her work today.
Jess’s retail and visual merchandising background includes Urban Outfitters, Eddie Bauer, New Balance, J.Crew, PacSun, American Eagle, Plato’s Closet, and Cotton On. Her responsibilities have included floor sets, stock presentation, design, keyholder and management work, special merchandising, and new-store openings. These are career experience credits, separate from commissioned brand campaigns.
Working with scale, color, texture, and the way people move through a space translates naturally to wedding coverage. The goal is not to rearrange your day into a set; it is to recognize the beautiful possibilities already there.
Interiors, fashion, travel, estate-sale finds, teaching, and connecting with people all influence Jess’s creative life. The personal work and creator portfolio offer another way to get to know the person behind the wedding photographs.
Jess + Corey
Jess brings the visual story into focus: people, composition, meaningful objects, and the feeling of the place. Her guidance helps a portrait feel considered while keeping the person in it recognizable.
Corey brings movement, voices, and pacing to the story. His musical perspective informs the rhythm of a film, while attention to the technical details helps preserve the moments you cannot repeat.
Team size follows the collection and the day. Additional photographers and filmmakers add perspectives and simultaneous coverage. Your proposal confirms who is included, the hours, and the deliverables.
