Fully licensed + insured

The Combs Creative is fully licensed and insured. Send us your venue’s insurance requirements as part of planning so we can discuss the documentation it needs.

Photography since 2006

In 2026, Jess brings 20 years of photography experience and nine years photographing weddings. That experience spans intimate celebrations, full wedding days, and destination stories.

Jess + Corey

Jess leads photography, creative direction, and planning conversations. Corey leads filmmaking, audio, and film editing. Your proposal identifies the coverage, team, and roles for your celebration.

During planning

Keep your latest timeline, questionnaire, family list, and vendor contacts together. Share changes with the studio so photo and film are working from the same plan.

For the wedding day

Confirm day-of contacts, the planner or designated point person, exact locations, and how last-minute changes reach your team during the final planning conversation.

1. Find your fit

Explore the work, share your priorities, and discuss photography, filmmaking, or both. We tailor the coverage to your event rather than asking your event to fit a template.

2. Proposal + booking

Review the services, team, hours, deliverables, travel, and payment dates in your proposal. For TCC wedding collections, a signed agreement and $1,500 retainer reserve the date; the remaining balance is split into three additional payments.

3. Around 90–60 days out

Review venues, scope, travel, accessibility, privacy preferences, restrictions, and any engagement-session plans.

4. Around 45–30 days out

Gather the questionnaire, family groups, vendor contacts, addresses, priorities, and draft timeline. Check the payment dates in your agreement.

5. The final three weeks

Refine the timeline, team roles, arrival details, meals, weather plans, travel buffers, analog coverage, and audio needs. The final week brings those details into one call sheet.

6. Your celebration

We work from the agreed plan, offer direction when it helps, and leave space for real moments. Share meaningful surprises with us in advance so we can plan the right angles and sound.

Jess + Corey coverage

Our individual roles bring photography and filmmaking together around one plan. Check your proposal for the people and services included in your booking.

Associate lead coverage

An associate photographer or filmmaker covers a lead role when that team arrangement is part of your proposal. Associate coverage is a distinct option to discuss with us; it does not mean Jess and Corey will personally be behind the cameras.

Second photographers + filmmakers

A second creative adds another perspective or covers simultaneous moments. Their role is different from an associate leading the coverage. Team size and hours follow your collection and agreed scope.

Lighting

Godox, Aputure, and Profoto lighting, selected to suit portraits, event spaces, and the photo or film coverage plan.

Audio

Microphones, DJI wireless audio, and handheld recorders help capture vows, speeches, and the voices that belong in your film. We plan audio access around the venue, officiant, musicians, and DJ or production team.

Drone coverage

DJI drone equipment. Corey is an FAA-certified drone pilot. Drone photographs and footage depend on equipment availability, airspace and venue permissions, weather, and safe flight conditions.

Light stands + flash accessories

Light stands and flash accessories support our Godox, Aputure, and Profoto lighting setups. The arrangement depends on the room, available space, venue restrictions, and the photographs or film we are making.

Diffusers + light shaping

Diffusers and lighting modifiers help us shape and soften light for portraits, details, and the atmosphere of a space. We choose the setup around the scene and the time available.

Backdrops

Backdrops can create a dedicated setting for portraits, event imagery, or a photo-booth experience. Style, size, placement, and setup requirements are discussed for the specific booking.

The Flash Edit Photo Booth

Our photo-booth brand brings another portrait experience to your guests. Booth equipment, backdrop, lighting, space needs, and delivery are scoped separately from your wedding photography or filmmaking collection.

Batteries, chargers + media

Preparing batteries, charging equipment, and checking recording media are part of our pre-event readiness. Cards and film rolls are organized so they can be reconciled after coverage.

Accessories + backup planning

Camera, lighting, and audio accessories support the day’s setup. Equipment readiness, media checks, and contingency planning are reviewed alongside team roles, travel, and the final call sheet.

Medium format + playful cameras

120 medium-format film and Holga cameras offer another way to explore texture and a less predictable, more playful frame. Format, camera, and roll quantities follow your agreed coverage.

Instant photographs

Polaroid and Instax Mini bring a tangible, in-the-moment layer to the celebration. Ask about adding instant photographs to your collection or weekend experience.

We also enjoy other vintage and experimental film options. Stock selection depends on availability, lighting, the camera, and the look we are creating.

Black-and-white film

Ilford films and Kodak Tri-X are part of our analog palette. Tell us if black-and-white film is a priority for your story so we can discuss the right coverage.

Super 8 cameras + film

We work with real Super 8 motion-picture film, including Kodak Super 8 and film from Pro8mm. The exposed film is developed and scanned before editing. Its grain and movement add a distinct layer to the finished story.

Super 8 + other 8mm formats

Super 8 is an 8mm motion-picture format. Standard 8mm and Super 8 use different film systems. If you have a particular vintage camera or format in mind, we will discuss compatibility and scope before you book or bring equipment.

Film labs + finishing

Our film workflow includes Hunt’s Photo & Video lab and Pro8mm, depending on the format and processing needs. Lab processing and scanning happen before Jessica and Corey’s final editing, selections, and delivery.

1. Organize + review

We reconcile the captured media, create independent digital backups, and spot-check files. Photo and film work then move into selection and editing.

2. Curate the photographs

Jessica and Corey oversee the culling and editing, shaping the story through people, atmosphere, details, and the moments that connect them. Our own presets and individual adjustments guide the photographic look. We make the final selections and finish the edits for the gallery.

3. Shape the film

Footage and recorded audio are brought together into the agreed edits. Story, pacing, voices, licensed music, color, and the mix all contribute to the finished film.

4. Bring in analog + guest media

When included, processed film scans join the editing workflow. Incorporating footage or photographs from weekend cameras is agreed in advance and depends on the format and quality of the files.

5. Editing tools

We use Adobe Lightroom Classic and Photoshop for photography, Lightroom Mobile for iPhone photographs, and Adobe Premiere Pro for filmmaking. Our own presets and editing decisions shape the finished work.

6. Check + deliver

Jessica and Corey make the final selections, complete the finishing touches, give final approval, and deliver the work. Sneak peeks, teasers, full galleries, and final films have separate delivery checkpoints. Your agreement confirms the deliverables and timing.

Dual-card-slot cameras + professional media

Our professional digital photography and filmmaking cameras have dual card slots. We use professional-grade SanDisk and Sony SD cards. Film cameras and specialty weekend cameras have their own recording formats and workflows.

Multiple drives + NAS storage

Our digital storage setup includes multiple external hard drives, including Samsung and LaCie drives, plus a network-attached storage system, or NAS. Jessica and Corey manage the files, reconcile captured media, create independent backups, and spot-check files through the production workflow.

Onsite + geographically separate copies

We keep digital file copies onsite and offsite, including an additional copy stored in another state. This gives us a geographically separate backup alongside our local storage.

Cloud storage + gallery backups

Google Drive and Pic-Time are our primary cloud and gallery platforms, alongside our hard drives and NAS. Our workflow includes cloud storage and Pic-Time gallery backups. Dropbox or WeTransfer may also be used when a project needs an alternative file-transfer method.

Digital delivery by default

Finished photographs and films are delivered digitally unless your collection or agreement expressly includes a physical delivery item. USB flash drives are included only when specified in your package or arranged with the studio.

Your own long-term copies

After delivery, download your full-resolution photographs and films and keep copies in at least two separate places. Gallery and transfer links are useful for access and sharing, but should not be your only archive.

Photo sneak peeks

Usually 24–72 business hours, with a maximum reference window of one week.

Film teaser

Usually 24–72 business hours to seven business days, with a maximum reference window of two weeks.

Your full gallery

Wedding galleries usually take 2–12 weeks. Engagement and portrait galleries usually take 2–4 weeks, with a maximum reference window of six weeks.

Your finished films

Full wedding films and Super 8 usually take 2–16 weeks. Film processing, scanning, and editing are separate stages.
